A well-established engineering practice with global footprints is looking to make a strategic hire at the Associate level to support a strong pipeline of projects in Singapore and in SEA. With the Singapore office being the HQ for their regional office, a certain degree of travelling around projects in SEA is expected of the successful candidate.

Over the years, this engineering practice has managed to demonstrate their extensive expertise in the design and delivery of mission critical facilities around the world. 

The successful candidate will be required manage and lead the detailed design of electrical systems, prepare electrical tender packages, specifications and drawings. You will lead and mentor a group of electrical engineers on large and complex projects during tendering, design and construction phase. 
 
Duties:
  • Prepare and Review electrical tender packages including specifications and drawings
  • Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress
  • Review of the design of electrical system for technical compliance with specified and contracted client/customer requirement
  • Tendering and estimating of electrical works for projects
  • Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent
  • Lead a group of Electrical Engineers on a large scale project during all phases
 Prerequisites
  • A good Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartership status is required for this role. Candidates without Chartership status will be considered for a more junior role
  • At least 10 years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • Experience in leading the design of a Tier II - IV data centre, anywhere in the world - due to the complex nature of data centre projects will be an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding HV and LV Electrical systems
  • Highly proficient in communication and negotiation skills
