A well-established engineering practice with global footprints is looking to make a strategic hire at the Associate level to support a strong pipeline of projects in Singapore and in SEA.

Over the years, this engineering practice has managed to demonstrate their extensive expertise in the design and delivery of mission critical facilities around the world. 

The successful candidate will be required to head up mechanical engineering on a major current data centre project. Client-facing experience is preferred.

You will also be tasked to manage and lead the detailed design of mechanical systems, prepare mechanical tender packages, specifications and drawings. You will lead and mentor a group of mechanical engineers on large and complex projects during tendering, design and construction phase. 
  • Prepare and Review mechanical tender packages including specifications and drawings
  • Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress
  • Review of the design of mechanical system for technical compliance with specified and contracted client/customer requirement
  • Tendering and estimating of mechanical works for projects
  • Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent
  • Lead a group of mechanical Engineers on a large scale project during all phases
  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Singapore "Professional Engineer" status would be an advantage
  • Chartership status is required for international applicants
  • At least 10 years of professional experience as an Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience in leading the design of a Tier II - IV data centre, anywhere in the world - due to the complex nature of data centre projects will be an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding ACMV, plumbing mechanical systems
  • Highly proficient in communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients is preferred
