We have an excellent opportunity for a Cost Manager to join a successful independent construction consultancy in Northampton as the business continues to go from strength to strength. The company has an excellent reputation within the Commercial, Industrial & Logistics, Retail & Data Centre markets in the UK and Europe, and has a team of highly experienced Project Managers and Cost Consultants.
The Cost Manager role has arisen due to the growth of the business and we are ideally seeking a recently chartered Quantity Surveyor, but those who are currently completing their APC will also be considered. The QS will take responsibility for a number of projects for key clients, with responsibilities including attending site meetings, producing tender documents, contract administration, valuations, cost plans, and cost management throughout the project.
The company also has a London office, and has a flexible working policy. Candidates should have a driving licence and own transport for travel to client sites when required.
Candidates should have at least 2 years’ cost management experience and ideally be MRICS chartered or working towards it, with experience working on projects in Industrial & Logistics, Retail or Commercial sectors ideally. They will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
On offer is a salary between £45-55k (dependent on level of experience) and a comprehensive benefits package including up to 20% bonus, car allowance, private medical, pension, and 27 days annual leave.
