A specialist construction consultancy who are dedicated to transforming environments in the health and life sciences sector, is currently seeking an Estates CAD/BIM Architect to join their Strategy Life Sciences team.

Collaborating closely with the Director and other colleagues, this pivotal role will play an integral part in driving the firm's strategic growth plan for life sciences clients, encompassing both public and private sector entities within the UK.

The chosen candidate will become an essential contributor to a significant life sciences programme within the public sector. Primarily, you will provide robust support to the Technical Services Planning function and work directly with the Planning Officer to oversee the CAD/Revit based data environment. This environment will play a vital role in facilitating strategic development and estate management for the client.

This is a full-time client-facing position that demands the establishment of effective processes and procedures to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services.

What We Require from You

In this role, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Cultivating strong trust-based relationships with members of the Technical Services and Planning teams.
  • Participating in meetings alongside the Planning Officer, documenting discussions and ensuing actions.
  • Reviewing and assessing CAD/Revit information issued to the Technical Services department.
  • Formulating CAD/Revit protocols and upholding drawing standards within the organisation.
  • Overseeing key CAD/Revit data-driven deliverables, tracking progress, and ensuring quality.
  • Coordinating with various Technical Services workstreams, including engineering, design/delivery, and asset management.
  • Preparing planning study sketches, drawings, and specifications.
  • Contributing to the development of service models while ensuring their adherence to quality standards.
Your Qualifications and Expertise

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • A degree in a relevant field, complemented by ARB registration as an Architect or certification as an Architectural Technician from CIAT.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
  • A sound understanding of BIM Standards (ISO 19650) and building regulations.
  • Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • The capability to manage multiple projects.
  • A deep familiarity with prevailing industry standards and regulations.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar CAD/Revit-focused role.
  • Highly desirable: prior experience working on projects within the public sector and involvement in estate development.

  • Base Salary - £50,000 - £65,000 plus package, dependant on experience.
