A perfect opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to become part of a traditional building consultancy who offer an excellent training and support package to their graduates. 

About the role and you

Our client is offering a fun but hard working environment delivering a full suite of building surveying duties to a range of clients but predominately residential and commercial clients. 
  • Contract administration duties (Project values up to £35,000,000.00+VAT);
  • Responsibility, under minimum supervision, for smaller projects and assistance on major projects with defined levels of responsibility
  • Planned maintenance surveys
  • Design and specification of maintenance works
  • Condition surveys
  • Defect investigation and diagnosis
  • Licence for Alterations
  • Party Wall matters
  • Pre-Acquisition Surveys
  • Project Management
  • Employer’s Agent roles
  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments (for Insurance Purposes)
  • Assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible
  • Managing the client relationship and service delivery in conjunction with senior colleagues
  • Managing clients and their expectations, with support from senior colleagues
  • Participate and engage in continuing professional development (CPD)
As the ideal candidate, you should have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
  • RICS Accredited Building Surveying degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Must have proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) as a minimum
  • Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment
  • Committed to work towards RICS Chartered status
  • Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels

They have an external APC assessor who regularly provides you with the support you need, and a presentation coach to help you with you interview techniques.

Salary is dependant on experience but between £27-£35k, bonus, pension and 28 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)
