Our client is a leading real estate development, investment and property management firm and is seen as a key gateway towards the Asia market. They have key investments portfolio across Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore and are continuing to grow their portfolio across these regional markets.
   
They are now looking to hire an Investment and Asset Manager to be part of their investment and asset management team. You will be responsible for portfolio management of the business units’ assets in the Australia and North Asia region and be involved in business unit level initiatives and reporting as well as syndication of new private funds. You will also have responsibility in supporting the country teams on investment, divestments and asset management initiatives.   

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in portfolio management of the business units’ assets in the Australia and North Asia markets.
  • Assist in business unit level and headquarter initiatives such as budgeting and forecasting, valuation, management retreats, environmental, social and corporate governance, digitalisation & corporate governance initiatives and etc.
  • Assist in various business unit level reporting.
  • Assist in syndication of new private funds and fund management.
  • Support country teams in investment and divestment transactions including deal evaluation and preparation of approval papers.
  • Support country teams in reviewing their policies and standard operating procedures and ensuring proper compliance of corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Support country teams in formulating and executing asset management initiatives and potential exit strategies to optimise asset value.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experiences and / or audit experiences with at least 3 years in a managerial level. 
  • Have done digitalization improvement projects and implementation projects across APAC.
  • Well-versed in GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience in SAP and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) would have an added advantage.
  • Having experience in real estate or financial services industry is an added advantage.
  • Hands on with finance operations experience, good accounting knowledge, responsible, assertive, and experienced in managing people and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • The role involves frequent liaising with various parties such as inter-department, property managers/agents and auditors, hence good verbal and written communication skills is a must for this role.
  • Candidates with REIT experience will have an added advantage.
