Our client is an EPCM contractor that specializes in forward-thinking high tech facilities projects. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the candidate will be accountable for ensuring the logistics and planning for all subcontractors performs their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on managing all subcontractor logistics planning and field installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  



The successful candidate will be immediately mobilized into this project which has just completed foundation works.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Construction Manager and facilitate problem solving and logistics planning, as may arise, between Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing subcontractors during construction
  • Work intensively with Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to coordinate all field activities and trade coordination in the field
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications) and produce phasing plans, logistics systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and align with the project schedule
  • Lead the logistics/planning meetings and track all meeting minutes and logistics plans
  • Produce and document logistics plans for the project with assistance from the Construction Manager and subcontractors.  Detailed logistics plans will be updated and distributed on a regular basis
  • Interface with Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client-provided equipment and provide logistics plans for all equipment installation
  • Ensure that Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records and logistic plans
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in construction project management
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Logistics/Site Manager
  • Deep understanding for logistics planning and coordinating subcontractors for large high-tech projects
  • Ability to build positive and productive relationships with the owner’s team as well as key vendor and subcontractors
  • An ability to move fast and quickly make solid strategic and planning decisions on the go is critical for success
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Superior engineering working knowledge of plans, engineering drawings, specifications and schematics associated with the logistics trades
  • Computer literacy. Significant experience with Excel, Word, and other computer based tools
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English
