Project Controls Manager

Archer Recruitment is working with a global construction consultancy to recruit a Project Controls Manager to work on a new build pharmaceutical project in Oxfordshire. This role will be site based 3 days per week, with flexibility to work from home, or at the consultant’s London office if preferred, 2 days per week. The project is due to commence in Spring 2023 and will be ongoing for three years.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

Assess engineer and contractor bids, change notices and costs to ensure best value for clients
Assist in preparing client project funding documents
Be a visible leader onsite, assessing engineer and contractor progress
Create and manage cost forecasts for key client developments
Effectively manage and monitor project schedules and cash flow
Expertly negotiate agreements with pricing agreements with external partners
Manage and monitor project schedules, reporting on exceptions to the plan
Prepare owner estimates and lead estimate review meetings
Proactively lead risk management efforts and reviews
Support the final reconciliation of contracts and purchase orders
Update key partners with monthly executive and project status reports, project schedule updates, and project risks

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Controls Manager from a consultancy or contractor background with 7-10 years’ experience. Experience working on Pharmaceutical projects is desirable but candidates with experience in heavy industrial, data centres, oil & gas etc. will also be considered.

A salary up to £100k is on offer, plus benefits including private healthcare, pension, life assurance, and 25 days holiday.
