Our client a leading Multinational Project Management & Cost Consultancy who have a strong portfolio of clients across Canada in both the commercial real estate and infrastructure sectors. They are currently looking for an experienced Lead/Senior Cost Controller from within the infrastructure sector to join their team in Toronto for an immediate start.

Who are you?
You are an experienced Senior Cost Controller with a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment. A leader in your field, you are able to advise senior management on best practice cost control measures on mega projects, along with fostering a team culture within a joint venture environment.

As Senior Cost Controller, you will be involved in:
  • Implement, administer and maintain cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value
  • Preparation and review of cost estimates
  • Provide cost information to support decision and alternative selection
  • Evaluate and analyse fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
  • Manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position
  • Manage the development, validation and maintenance of the project schedule
  • Develop reporting tracking tools and generates cost reports on regular basis including evaluation of earned value
  • Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets
  • Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs
  • Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and creates a clean audit trail
  • 10+ years of Cost Control experience in Rail, Heavy Civil, Infrastructure
  • A recognized university degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Membership in a relevant professional organizations is an asset (i.e. RICS, AACEI).
  • Certification or designation from a professional organization is an asset (i.e. MRICS, CCP)
