Our client, one of the top m&e contractors in the UK are currently looking to add a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to their successful design team. This contractor are involved in a variety of large schemes including -

• Further Education • Healthcare • Retrofit Residential • New Build Residential
• Commercial and Industrial • Urban Networks • Power Generation

Having secured work throughout 2021 and 2022 in various sectors our client are now looking to hire talented and driven design engineers to their team, what they have asked us to assist in finding is the following -

Key duties

Attend and/or lead client and design team meetings.
Develop concept and detailed design of electrical services.
Produce specifications, calculations, equipment schedules and reports.
Coordinate your designs with the mechanical and structural engineers.
Maintain a commercial awareness of projects, track hours versus agreed fee's
Agree any variations or changes to the design prior to allocating additional hours.
Monitor the quality of the work produced by electrical engineers.
Monitor the quality of the contractor's electrical installations, ensuring they meet the client's requirements and local standards / regulations.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical, Building Services or Power Systems Engineering.
Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
Previous experience seeing projects through from concept to construction.
Ideally already a member of a professional body such as the IET or CIBSE.

This role is immediate and interviews will be taking place as soon as next week.

Expected salary will range between £65,000 and £75,000 plus package.
