Be a part of a leading project management and cost consultancy business that delivers work for top tier clients across the public and private sectors.

As the lead Employers Agent on a large masterplan/regeneration scheme, you will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time and to full contract specification working closely with the client. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Integrating into an existing team and provide support and guidance taking an active lead in developing the employer’s agent delivery role.
  • Directing and delivering the employer’s agent services on a specific housing and regeneration project based in London.
  • Working closely with a leading Partner within the business.
  • Contributing to the production of procurement information and provide due diligence to ensure client objectives are compliant with standards and forms of contract.
  • Taking responsibility for monitoring all aspects of contractor’s performance on site and checking compliance against contract.
  • Guiding or contributing to monthly applications for payment, final accounts, dispute resolution, claims or non-compliance.
  • Advising on and keep updated on legislation and standards applicable to the role of employers agent and ensure this is communicated across the team.

Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:
  • Proven track record of providing EA services within a Residential capacity.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction industry is desirable.
  • Background in complex multi-phased schemes.
  • Proven technical and commercial understanding in relation to new build housing delivery.
  • Acting as independent certifier and/or technical advisor on joint venture s106 developments is desirable.
  • With quantity surveying background.
  • Knowledge of administering JCT contracts.
  • Background in managing and guiding the teams.
  • Administering the building contract adhering to contract requirements and assist with any claims in a timely fashion.
  • Preparing of employer’s requirements, tender documentation and management of procurement process through to contract award.
  • Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing aspirations in a deadline-driven situation.
  • Strong planning and organising skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Communicating effectively both verbally and in written form.
  • Addressing the performance issues quickly and effectively.
  • A relevant degree qualification in quantity surveying or building surveying is desirable.
  • Professional membership of MRICS is highly desirable
On offer is an attractive package up to £70,000 dependant on experience. Package to include private health, good annual leave allowance, professional membership paid for, private pension and bonus scheme.
