Archer Recruitment is working with a globally recognised construction consultancy to recruit a 2x Senior Project Managers to join their expanding London public sector project management team focussing on healthcare. The opportunity will include working across a variety of projects within healthcare from GP surgeries, laboratories and hospitals (new build & fit out/refurbishment projects).
Responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
  • Positively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships.
  • Delivering high quality services and ensuring that project management and/or programme management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
  • Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.
  • Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent or Project Manager.
  • Producing and presenting reports to Customers.
  • Mentoring and coaching employees to their full potential.
  • Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Units activities.
  • Preparing bids for services.
  • Managing service delivery for profit.
  • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on the company’s professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
To achieve success in the role, successful candidates must meet the following pre-requisites:
  • Ideally chartered (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) or working towards.
  • Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification.
  • Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques.
  • Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager.
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
  • Sound problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams.
Remuneration Basic: £50,000-£70,000 (depending on experience) + Comprehensive Benefits Package. Full package details will be disclosed to those candidates invited to interview stage.
