Our client is a global leading engineering consultancy firm that provides full suite services for Data Centre and other mission critical projects. They have done numerous iconic projects, and they are looking for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer to to join their growing team in Singapore to managing projects in Southeast Asia.

Job Description:

To create designs for the mechanical components of data centers, such as the chilled water, high-efficiency cooling systems, and ventilation systems.
To create mechanical schematics for build drawings and sales documentation
To create specifications for essential mechanical installation components
Make mechanical specs and distribute them to contractors
Examine mechanical bids and choose a qualified contractor
Surveying the site
To create the mechanical systems, which includes creating all required technical submissions, calculations, and operation descriptions in accordance with building standards
Should communicate with all subcontractors and make sure that all given drawings have the necessary information.
To communicate with the procurement manager to make sure that the relevant specs and drawings are available for use in procurement
To review and accept purchase orders for technical design
Organize and prepare technical submittals and for client evaluation

Requirements:

Min bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Min 8+ years (Senior) / 12+ years (Principal) of experience in engineering and consulting environment (building projects)
Data Centre or High Efficiency Cooling Installations experience will be highly desired
Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
Have good knowledge of common design software.
Good project and time management skills, and strong analytical skills
Willing to travel (Southeast Asia and other regional countries)
Team player and able to work independently
Ability to work well under pressure and tight timeline
Ability to communicate and manage stakeholder
Strong people management skill
